Andrew Leone

Andrew Leone moves from the hardwood to the coaching staff for the 2017-18 campaign, serving the program as the assistant director of basketball operations. Leone will help coordinate the day-to-day operations and team travel for the men's basketball program.

As a student-athlete, Leone appeared in 14 games with one start during the 2016-17 season. His one start came against Monmouth during which he played a season-high six minutes and picked up one rebound. The guard scored points in four of his appearances for a total of nine points, including a season-high three markers at North Carolina State. His points against the Wolfpack were the result of a three-point field goal. His other six points all came from the free throw line as Leone finished the season with six free throws in as many attempts. Leone was also good at handling the ball in 2016-17, dishing off four assists against one turnover in his 25 minutes of work. He earned an assist at NC State, Manhattan, Niagara, and at Saint Peter’s.

As a junior, Leone tallied four points in his games played, recording a point at North Carolina, two points at Maryland-Eastern Shore, and another point against New Hampshire in the CIT. The guard made four of his six free throw attempts, and added three rebounds (0.4 rpg) during the season. Leone played in a personal-best eight games and accumulated 11 minutes over those contests. His only field goal attempt came from three-point range.

Leone came off the bench in three games as a sophomore and one game as a freshman.
