Biography
2021-22: Played in 30 games with five starts in the post…Averaged 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per outing…While not the official program record, his .689 field goal percentage (71-103) is best-ever by a Stag with five or more attempts from the floor…Blocked 15 shots…Threw down an alley-oop to highlight his four points in the season opener at Providence...6-for-6 from the field for 12 points along with three boards and three blocks against Medgar Evers...Posted five points and five rebounds in the Nov. 20 win at Sacred Heart...Came off the bench to add eight points, four rebounds and a block in the overtime win over Stony Brook...Converted both of his field goal attempts to finish with four points against Loyola Maryland...Scored nine points on 4-for-5 shooting in the road win at Canisius...Made all four of his attempts from the field en route to eight points in the win at Niagara...Added eight points with a pair of blocks in the win over Holy Cross...Led the team with 13 points in the win at Fairleigh Dickinson...Scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field against Wagner...Posted six points and four rebounds in the win at Rider...Netted eight point against Siena on Feb. 6...Went 5-for-5 from the field in the home win over Niagara.
2020-21
Chris Maidoh split his time between serving the team as a starter and as a reserve. Regardless of entry, the sophomore contributed with his 5.0 scoring average. He averaged 4.8 points as a member of the starting five (58 points in 12 games) and 5.1 points as a reserve (51 points in 10 games). His three best scoring games came as a reserve, netting a season-best 13 points at Saint Peter’s, 12 points against Quinnipiac, and 11 points versus Iona. Maidoh also excelled on the defensive end of the court, posting 14 blocks after registering at least one rejection in nine games. He posted a season-high three blocks at Hartford and at Saint Peter’s. Maidoh earned one double double during the year, tallying 11 points and 10 rebounds in a win against Iona. He also reached double figures in rebounding in back-to-back games with 11 and 10 caroms during the two-game series with Rider.
2019-20
Maidoh was named to the
MAAC All-Rookie team following his successful freshman campaign. He joined the starting lineup for the season opener against Bucknell, starting a run of 23 consecutive starts by the freshman. He scored in 21 of those 23 contests including a career-high 10 points in 19 minutes against Iona. The forward led the team with 26 blocks in his 30 appearances which placed him 10
th in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Maidoh blocked at least one shot in 13 games and secured three or more rejections five times. His best overall defensive effort came in a win against Saint Peter’s, posting eight points, nine rebounds, and a personal best four blocks. Maidoh reached double figures in rebounding twice with his 10 caroms at Quinnipiac and another 10 against Monmouth. He placed third in the MAAC for offensive rebounding (2.5 per game) in MAAC games only. He made two or more field goals in 12 games, shooting 50 percent or better in eight of those contests. He ended the season with a 4.6 rebounding average which placed 19
th in the MAAC. Maidoh scored in 27 of his 30 appearances which helped the rookie ended the 2019-20 campaign with a 3.9 scoring average.
Before Fairfield
Maidoh spent last season at Scotland Campus (Pa.) after graduating from Parkdale High School in 2018. As a senior at Parkdale, the forward averaged 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and was also a defensive presence with 2.3 blocks and 1.4 steals per game. He played in 23 games as a senior and tallied 244 points as well as 162 rebounds.
