2024 Season: Catalina Ness garnered a spot on the All-NEC first team following her performance in 2024. She also was selected to the NFHCA All-Region team, one of two Stags to gain the accolade. Ness captured the NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player, leading the Stags to the conference title and an NCAA tournament berth. She finished the season with three goals and six assists for 12 points through her 21 appearances. Ness posted an assist against LaSalle, Wagner, Mercyhurst (2), Merrimack, and Villanova. Her goals were tallied against Merrimack (2) and Rider. She tallied at least one point in six games this year. In the classroom, Ness picked up a spot on the NEC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

2023 Season: Ness was another impactful newcomer who earned All-NEC second team honors from the midfield position. She joined the lineup from the first game and continued through the remaining 17 matches. Her experience up front was apparent early as she was able to account for two goals and two assists for six points. She posted the game-deciding goal in win over Rider and also found the back of the cage in the Lafayette College match. Ness picked up an assist against Lafayette before ending the regular season with a point against the College of the Holy Cross.

Before Fairfield: Catalina Ness has played at the highest levels of field hockey in Germany, serving as a member of the Hamburger Polo Club. While with the club, Ness was a regular on the scoring sheet with 11 goals and 11 assists in 2020-21 plus her 24 goals and 14 assists in 2021-22 while playing at the highest level of hockey in Germany (Bundesliga). She played both indoor and outdoor while with the Hamburger Polo Club and was part of the club’s top three finishes in 2020 (2^nd outdoor, 3^rd indoor).
