Biography

2010: Callahan played in four contest for the Stags making her 2010 debut in their 4-1 win over cross-town rival Sacred Heart University. She also participated against St. Joe’s Brown, and America East foe Boston University. Callahan provides the Stags with depth at the midfield position

2009: Callahan offered the team another dependable player in the midfield, providing support on both ends of the field. She came off the bench in each of her first 10 games before joining the starting lineup for her final four appearances. She scored her only goal of the season in her first start, a 4-3 setback against the University of Maine. Callahan also earned the nod against Yale University, University of New Hampshire, and University of Vermont. She missed only three games during the 2009 season, allowing her to play in a personal-best 14 games. Callahan earned a spot on the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the second straight season.  

2008
: Callahan came off the bench for all 12 of her appearances, including four America East games. She earned a spot on the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the first time. The midfielder played in four straight games on two different occasions. She tallied her first career point with an assist in her first collegiate game. Callahan picked up an assist in the Stags 3-0 win over Holy Cross at home. She was on the field for all four of the team's wins during the season. Callahan registered one shot during the campaign, making an attempt against Sacred Heart.  

Before Fairfield
: Callahan joined  the Fairfield program after earning Northeastern Conference most valuable player award in 2007. She served Marblehead High School as team captain during her senior year, during which she earned the team's most valuable player trophy. In 2007, the team captured the Northeastern Conference title for the first time in 21 years and advanced to the state semi-finals. Callahan was selected for the Massachusetts Best of 60 team, as 15 players from each of the state's four regions are honored for their success. She led the team in scoring as a junior and as a senior, plus was the top point player for Marblehead's freshmen squad. An honor roll student, Callahan was selected to the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald All Scholastic Team in 2007. Outside of her scholastic competition, Callahan played two years of Futures as a member of the Cape Ann Coalition Field Hockey Club. The club won a bronze medal at the 2007 National Field Hockey Festival after winning a gold medal at the same competition in 2006. Callahan also played tennis, track and field, lacrosse as well as ice hockey at Marblehead High School. She started all four years with the ice hockey team plus a fifth year when she was an eighth grader.
