Fairfield University Athletics

2021 Season: Michaela Harrington gained time in eight games during the 2021 fall season, gaining one start which came in the Sacred Heart match. She secured minutes in the season opener against nationally-ranked Saint Joseph’s University. Harrington helped finish off five shutouts in her eight games played including four straight from September 9 to October 15. She registered three shots during her appearances, making an attempt against Sacred Heart and two more in the Merrimack game which required saves by the goalkeeper. Harrington collected NFHCA National Academic Squad accolades.

2020-21 Season: Harrington was on the pitch for four of the team’s seven games, securing time against Hofstra, Sacred Heart, Bryant, and Sacred Heart. She patrolled the field in the front half of the field for most of the season, taking one shot which was on goal during the second Sacred Heart game.

2019 Season: Harrington secured time in five games during the 2019 campaign, coming off the bench for all five of her appearances. 

2018 Season: Harrington appeared in three games during the season, coming off the bench in home games against UMass Lowell and Boston College. She also earned a road appearance in the team’s 4-0 shutout of LIU Brooklyn.

Before Fairfield: Harrington was a midfielder and forward for Lake Braddock Secondary School and Rampage Club field hockey in Burke, Virginia.  She was named first All-Conference in both 2016 and 2017.  She was also named second team All-Region in 2017 and was a part of the All-Region Tournament Team.  Off the pitch, Harrington was on the Athletic Honor Roll.
