Biography

2022 Season: Julianna Kratz finished her career among Fairfield's all-time leading scorers, ranking 10th in total points (63) and tied for 11th in goals scored (25). She posted seven goals and two assists for 16 points in 2022, placing second among her teammates for total points and tied for the top spot for goals scored. She scored in nine games during the season including a goal in both NEC Tournament games. Kratz tallied the game-winning goal in the Stags' 2-1 NEC Tournament semifinal win over Wagner College. She placed 13 shots of her 26 shots on target with seven of those shots on goal finding the back of the cage. 

2021 Season: Julianna Kratz, an All-NEC first team selection, registered seven goals and three assists for 17 points during the season, tying for second in goals scored and third in total points among her teammates. She was named to the NFHCA All-Region team for her efforts. The forward picked up one goal in the team’s NCAA Tournament appearance against Delaware, the fifth game in which she scored a goal over her 22 appearances. Kratz posted two goals in a game twice starting with Rider and later versus Saint Francis. She picked up an assist in back-to-back games late in the season, setting up a goal at Vermont in the regular-season finale and against Rider in the NEC Tournament semifinals. She earned a berth to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

2020-21 Season:  Kratz appeared in all seven games in 2020-21 and picked up three starts. The sophomore ended the year with a spot on the All-Northeast Conference (NEC) second team. She opened the season in the starting lineup and also received the nod in the final two dates of the campaign. Kratz ended the season with four goals and an assist for nine points, leading the team in goals scored and total points. She scored all of her points over two games, beginning with a pair of goals in a 3-2 win oat Hofstra on March 12. She registered her final five points of the season by having a hand in all three goals in a shutout win against Bryant. Kratz recorded the team’s first two goals and assisted on the final score of the game.

2019 Season: Kratz made an immediate impact on the Stags program with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points in her 22 appearances. The freshman won four Northeast Conference (NEC) rookie of the week awards including back to back on September 4 and 10. She led all Fairfield first-year student athletes with her 21 points and was one of three Stags with 20 or more points in 2019. She scored her first collegiate points in a win over nationally-ranked Boston College, coming off the bench to score a goal and an assist. She would equal that point total two games later with the same numbers against Saint Francis. She earned her first start in a win over Kent State, picking up an assist on what proved to be the game winner in the 46th minute. Kratz picked up a point in 11 of her 22 appearances during the 2019 season.

Before Fairfield: A four-year standout at forward at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, Pa., Kratz led PhilaFH in assists (35), ranked seventh in goals (43) and third in points (121) in her senior campaign. She was a Class AA All-State First Team selection, a 2018 All-Region Second Team pick and a Catholic Academics League and PhilaFH All-Star. Kratz also starred for Mystc Field Hockey Club, leading the team to the 2017 U19 JPOL Championship. She is an honors student who will join Fairfield’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business.
