2023 Season: Hanna Saxon remained a contributor to the Stags cause through her play in the midfield. Her ability to react and help up front and in the back gave her teammates many options during the season. Saxon picked up time in two non-conference games – Hofstra and Bryant – as well as in four Northeast Conference matches – Sacred Heart, Rider, LIU, and Merrimack.

2022 Season: Saxon was a regular in the midfield throughout the 2022 season, appearing in all but three contests. She brought a great deal of success to the program on both sides of the pitch, keeping opponents in check inside the circle as well as offering assistance when the Stags were in the offensive third. Saxon finished the campaign with four shots taken with most forcing the goalkeeper to make a save. She was a member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad in 2022 in addition to securing a position on the Northeast Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2021 Season:  Saxon made the most of her sophomore season with 15 appearances and two assists during her time on the pitch. All of her games played came as a reserve, increasing her number of games from two as a freshman. She secured an assist on the team’s lone goal of a 2-1 setback against Monmouth before setting one of the team’s five goals in a shutout win over Merrimack. Saxon was equally successful on sides of the pitch, contributing as a midfielder all season long. Saxon garnered a berth to the NFHCA National Academic Squad in 2021.

2020-21 Season: Saxon worked her way into the lineup on a couple of occasions, getting time in the Bryant and Sacred Heart games. She garnered several minutes against Bryant before securing nearly 40 minutes of work against the Pioneers in the season finale. She contributed primarily from the middle third of the pitch, offering support in the team’s transition on both offense and defense.

Before Fairfield: Hanna Saxon joined the Fairfield University field hockey program following a successful athletic and academic career at Gwynedd Mercy Academy. She helped her high school team garner a sectional championships  during her time at the Academy. She also was successful in the classroom, collecting an All-State Academic Award. She was also a member of the Mainland Mayhem Field Hockey Club.
