Biography

2021 Season: Faith Spaziano missed most of the season before getting on the pitch late in the season.. She appeared in one game during the 2021 fall season, securing time in the home finale against Sacred Heart. She was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad following the regular season.

2020-21 Season: Spaziano contributed both as a starter and as a reserve, gaining a starting nod against Hofstra, Sacred Hear, and Long Island University. The forward scored all five of her season points over the first three games. She picked up the third goal against Albany in the season opener and followed up with the team’s first goal in a 3-2 victory against Hofstra. Spaziano capped her three-game scoring streak with an assist on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 overtime decision against Sacred Heart. She came off the bench for the final three games of the season, securing two shots during those dates.

2019 Season: Spaziano took her place among the regulars in the 2019 lineup by earning time in 22 games. She started five of her first nine appearances before coming off the bench for the final 13 contests. The midfielder provided much needed support in the middle third of the pitch as well as inside the circle. Spaziano scored three goals and one assist during the season which placed eighth among her teammates. All three of her goals came when she was a reserve, beating the goalkeeper in the Saint Francis, Indiana, and LIU games. She started the Columbia game during which she registered her only assist of the season in the team’s 1-0 win over the Lions. She ranked as one of the team’s most accurate shooters, putting nine of her 11 shots on goal.

2018 Season: Spaziano broke into the lineup from the onset of the season, coming off the bench in the first two games of the season. She played in all but four games, missing only the Drexel, Temple, Hofstra, and MAAC Championship game against Monmouth. She made an effort in the offensive circle with four shots, three of which forced the goalkeeper to make a save.

Before Fairfield: Spaziano comes to Fairfield from Long Valley, New Jersey as a four-year honor roll student. She played for Total Dutch from 2012-2018. She starred as a high school varsity player for all four years and served as captain in the 2017 season.  Spaziano holds her high school’s record for Career Points (210) and Career Goals (78).  She won “Rookie of the Year” in 2014, Offensive Player of the Year from 2015-2017 and was an NJAC Conference First team selection three years straight.  Spaziano was awarded Third Team All-State Group 3 in 2015, and Second Team in the same class for 2016 and 2017. She was a First Team North Jersey Group 3 selection 2015-2017 and First Team All-County in the same respective years.
