2021 Season: Erica Kelly became a regular on the defensive side of the field, patrolling the midfield and defensive third for most of the campaign. She was in the starting lineup for all 16 of her appearances, the last coming in the NEC Tournament semifinal game against Rider. She was on the pitch for six of the team’s six shutouts including the team’s 1-0 win over Vermont in the regular-season finale.  She gained a spot on the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

2020-21 Season: Kelly played in one game during the 2020-21 season, picking up minutes off the bench against the University of Albany in the season opener.

2019 Season: Kelly was a regular in the lineup in 2019, coming off the bench for 10 of her 11 appearances. She opened the campaign in the starting lineup for the opener against UMass Lowell. She came off the bench one game later in the team’s win over Boston College, the first of 10 reserve nods. Kelly garnered minutes in five of the team’s September games including both games at the Saint Louis Invitational (vs. Kent State and Indiana). Three of her 11 appearances came at home including the last two regular season games.

2018 Season: Kelly played in five games during the campaign with three of those appearances coming at home. Her first entry into a game came against Holy Cross which she followed up as a reserve against Lehigh a few games later. She also secured minutes against Rider, LIU Brooklyn, and Saint Louis University.

Before Fairfield: Erica Kelly was a defender and midfielder while she was in high school at North Penn in Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania.  She was an honors student in high school and received the Anne Ainstine Memorial Award and North Penn Pride Award for her academic achievements.   Kelly was named to the All-League third team in 2016.  In 2017, Kelly was named to the All-League first team and All-State second team and received the Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association (PHSFHCA) senior academic award.  She was also honored with the NFHCA coaches academic award in both 2016 and 2017.
