Biography

2021 Season: Dani Profita capped her final season with the Stags with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points, ranking second among her teammates for total points. She tallied five of her goals over the final eight games and added three of her seven assists during that stretch. Two of those assists came against nationally-ranked Delaware in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Profita’s first points of the season came when she scored both goals in a 2-1 win over yale, and added her first assist of the campaign one game later at Quinnipiac. She earned a spot on the All-NEC second team as a midfielder in 2022. She started all but one game in 2022, coming off the bench and tallying one assist against Sacred Heart. She received recognition on the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

2020-21 Season: Profita earned a spot on the NFHCA All-Mideast Region second team after scoring a goal and an assist in seven games during the 2020-21 season. The forward also secured All-Northeast Conference (NEC) honors as a member of the first team and received the conference’s Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year award. Profita posted her points  with a goal against Long Island University and ended the campaign with an assist in a win over Sacred Heart in the season finale. She took six shots during the season and put two of those attempts on target. Profita started all seven games, giving her 46 starts in 46 games since 2018.

2019 Season: Profita enjoyed a highly decorated 2019 season, earning a spot on the All-NEC first team and NFHCA All-Region teams. The junior also collected academic honors from the NFHCA as a member of the organization’s Scholars of Distinction. Profita finished the season as the team’s top scorer with 25 total points, registering eight goals and nine assists. She tallied three game-winning goals, deciding games against Vermont and Holy Cross during the regular season and versus American in the NCAA Championship opening round. Profita posted a point in 13 of her 22 appearances including two three-game scoring streaks. She averaged 1.14 points per game, placing second among her teammates in both goals scored and assists.

2018 Season: Profita placed second among her teammates with 12 points, netting seven goals and adding five assists in her 21 appearances. She registered at least one point in eight of the team’s first 10 games. The forward tallied one game-winning goal during the year, posting the lone goal in a 1-0 victory against Hofstra. Profita scored a goal in six games including one in each of the first two games. She registered a two-goal, two-assist game in a 5-0 decision over Lehigh. Profita was one of the program’s most accurate shooters, putting 80 percent of her attempts on target.


2017: Played in all 21 games, starting three. Scored three goals and added two assist on the year for eight points. Registered 18 shots on goal.

Before Fairfield: A forward from Warren Hills High School, Dani Profita was named captain of her team in her senior year.  She broke the single-season school record for goals and points in a season in 2015 and was named First Team All-State, Max FH High School All-Region Team and ranked among the Top 25 Players to Watch in New Jersey.  Her club team won gold in the National Hockey Festival three years in a row and won silver in the Disney Showcase.  They also won gold in the Junior Premier Outdoor League in 2013 and 2015.
