2015: MAAC All-Academic Team... 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/ NFHCA Div. I National Academic Squad... Melchionna made four appearances off the bench for the Stags this season.

2014: America East Honor Roll… Melchionna had a stellar rookie campaign for the Stags, competing in 18 of 19 contests, with six starts as at midfield. She made her collegiate debut in the season opener against California. Melchionna recorded one shot on goal, against Columbia, and earned a shot on goal percentage of 1.000.

Before Fairfield: Melchionna comes to Fairfield University via Chatham High School, where she was an honor roll student for four years. She was a key contributor offensively, registering 31 goals and 21 assists over her career. She tallied the most goals and assists on the team in her freshman campaign, and accomplished the task again with a personal-best 11 goals and seven assists in her senior year. She was a four-year starter who earned All-Morris Country honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and added All-Daily Record and All-country accolades in her final season at Chatham. She gained experience both as a midfielder and as a forward which should provide her ample opportunity to break into the lineup at Fairfield University. Melchionna also played for Spirit Eagles Group and was part of the club system for seven years.
