Fairfield University Athletics

2017: All-MAAC Second Team. MAAC All-Academic Team. Played and started in 20 games. Registered two shots on goal.

2016: All-MAAC Second Team… MAAC All-Academic Team… Baliga started all 21 contests for the Stags this year as an anchor on the defensive front. She tallied her first career assist and point on October 21 against Sacred Heart. The defender also led the team with three defensive saves.

2015: MAAC All-Academic Team...2015 ZAG Field Hockey/ NFHCA Div. I National Academic Squad... Baliga was a staple of the Fairfield midfield all season long. She started all 19 games for the Stags this season and was a consistent and reliable player each and every game.

2014: America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Baliga made her collegiate debut in the season opener against California. She competed in 10 contests for Fairfield at midfield and served as a defensive fixture for the Stags. Baliga also saw action against UC Davis, Villanova, Drexel, Hofstra, Penn, Sacred Heart, Delaware, Lehigh, and Vermont. 

Before Fairfield: Baliga excelled both in the classroom and on the playing field during her time at Shawnee High School. She played both midfield and back for Shawnee and served her teammates as a captain during her senior campaign. She was selected All-County second team in 2012 and first team in 2013. The back also garnered spots on the All-South Jersey second team and the All-Conference first team. She was selected to the South Jersey All-Star game in 2013. Baliga was very active in Futures as well, playing U-14 (2008-10), U-16 (2011-12), and U-19 (2013-14). She was part of a National Futures Championship team in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Baliga played club field hockey with Spirit of USA where she won three gold medals, including two at the Disney Field Hockey Showcase. She helped Spirit of USA capture a gold medal at the National Club Championship in 2012. She was a National Honor Society student.

Personal: Daughter of Mary Lou and Arvind Baliga... Has one sister, Darby (18)...Mother, Mary Lou, played field hockey at Albright... Named to the Dean's List Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Fall 2015, and Spring 2016... Member of Finance Club, Accounting Club, and Play Like a Girl... Volunteered with Appalachia Service Project...  Major is Finance and International Business.
