Malen Iglesias

Malen Iglesias began her first season with the Fairfield University field hockey program in 2023 after playing for four seasons with the Stags and one year at Ohio State. Iglesias brings an extensive coaching resume that includes youth programs in Argentina as well as the United States. 

She started coaching youth field hockey at the club level in Argentina before continuing that level in the United States. She was part of the coaching staff with Fairfield United before working with FHL which is a youth program in Columbus, Ohio.

As a player, she spent one season with Ohio State and appeared in 17 games. During her four seasons with Fairfield, Iglesias earned a spot on the NFHCA All-Region team and collected the NEC Player of the Year in 2021. With her play, Iglesias helped the Stags capture the 2021 NEC Championship and the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. She finished her career with 19 goals and 12 assists for 50 points throughout her 66 games played. She netted five game winning goals and posted a pair of goals in Fairfield's NCAA Tournament game with Delaware in 2021. 

In the classroom, she received NEC Academic and Commissioner's Honor Roll status in addition to the NEC Fall Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in 2022.
