Jack Gallucci begins his sixth season with the Stags and his first season as an assistant coach for the Fairfield University field hockey team. He served as a student assistant coach for four years and was a volunteer assistant for the 2022 season.Â
He helped organize and present group training sessions for the Stags' coaching staff to assist with the development of tactical and technical skills for the student-athletes. As a member of the staff, he helped the Stags capture the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the 2019 Northeast Conference (NEC) title as well as earn a national ranking (#23) during his time as a student assistant.Â
He also serves as the club director for the Competitive Edge Field Hockey Club, a role he has held since June of 2019. Gallucci creates and implements a curriculum for youth and high school athletes which prepares the players for play at the collegiate level and beyond. He plans and implements group training sessions which develop basic and elite level skills for all ages groups.Â
Gallucci has also spent time as a player in the USA Field Hockey program, playing with the U-19 and U-21 teams. He has played around the world as a member of the men's junior team, culminating with a bronze medal at the Junior Pan American Games, only the second medal in USA Field Hockey history. With the finish, the United States qualified for the the Junior World Cup. He also played tournaments in Malaysia (Sultan of Johor Cup), Argentina, and Chile.
He continues his playing career as a member of the USA Field Hockey Men's Developmental Team, a selection which came after his play at the Junior Pan American Games. The Developmental Team progam serves a feeder system to the U.S. Men's National Team.
