Euan Brown joined the Fairfield University field hockey coaching staff prior to the 2021 fall season. He brings a wealth of field hockey experience to the program with a majority of his background coming from the international game.
He was part of the staff for the Scottish Men's National Team, taking lead on performance analysis for the team’s run to the 2019 World Series Finals and at the 2019 EuroHockey Championships where the team reached their highest ever world ranking. He provided the same service as part of the coaching staff of the Scottish Women’s Indoor National Team which resulted in a bronze medal at the 2020 EuroHockey Indoor Championship II.
Brown spent four seasons with the Dundee Wanderers Hockey Club, winning the national indoor league division 1 title in 2017 and 2019 and two medals and promotion in EuroHockey competition (silver medal in 2017 and gold in 2020). He also spent time at The Edinburgh Academy where he was responsible for coaching and teaching three teams at the prestigious Scottish private school – U13A, U13B, and U15. Within this role, he coached matches and managed the program to provide a positive learning and competitive experience for the student-athletes.
