2022: MAAC All-Tournament Team…Signed Professional Contract with the Tampa Bay Rays…MAAC Pitcher of the Week (5/17)…Posted a 5-2 record with a 4.49 ERA while striking out 78 batters and surrendering just 12 walks…Tied a season-high with 10 strikeouts as he hurled seven innings and logged 119 pitches in the MAAC Tournament against Rider (5/26)…Struck out at least six batters in each of the last five starts while totaling 43 punchouts in 33 innings…Missed nearly a month with an injury but returned to throw five innings and allowing just one run against Manhattan (4/16)…Went seven innings six times in his 11 starts including four-straight to end the season…Named MAAC Pitcher of the Week after surrendering two hits and one earned run against Quinnipiac (5/13)…Ended his career with a 16-3 record in the MAAC.

2019: MAAC All-Rookie Team…MAAC Rookie of the Week (3/26)…Led all MAAC rookies with five wins, 83.1 innings, and 63 strikeouts while finishing second with a 4.00 ERA…Threw six shutout innings allowing just one hit and striking out six and walking none against Campbell (3/2)…Earned first career win with a complete game against Iona surrendering one run while punching out six (3/24)…Tossed six shutout innings in the win at Saint Peter’s (4/13)…Picked up the win at Niagara with seven innings of one run ball (5/4)…Tossed 6.2 innings in his first career MAAC Championship start against Monmouth (5/24)…Pitched 4.1 innings in relief in the MAAC Championship Series, totaling 11 innings in the tournament (5/26).

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: Sansone finished his high school career with a 13-8 record that featured 166 strikeouts against just 23 walks. After leading Notre Dame West Haven to the 2016 Class L State Championship, Sansone had a breakout junior campaign with a 0.90 ERA with 74 strikeouts and five walks. Against Waterford, Sansone threw a complete game with 15 strikeouts and no walks while retiring the last 18 batters he faced in the Class L Tournament. Sansone spent the summer pitching for the Adirondack Trail Blazers in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) where he supported a 3-1 record with a 2.43 ERA.
