Biography

2017: MAAC All-Academic Team…Was arguably the team’s best pitcher over the final month of the season, pitching to a 1.45 ERA over his last six appearances which featured 37.2 innings…Won three-straight starts and his last four overall…Did not allow a run in back-to-back starts at Siena (4/23) and at Niagara (4/29)…Pitched seven or more innings in four of his last five starts...Earned the victory at Quinnipiac that would help the Stags claim the MAAC Regular Season title (5/19).

2016: All-MAAC Second Team…MAAC All-Academic Team…The team’s bulldog on the mound who racked up six wins which was tied for the tenth most in single season history…Had the best ERA on the staff in MAAC games with a 2.84 ERA and a 4-1 record…Pitched the final game of the MAAC series for the majority of the year as the Stags went 6-1 in those games…Helped the team to win the rubber game in the three biggest MAAC series of the year, against Canisius (5/8), at Monmouth (5/15), and against Quinnipiac (5/20)…Struck out a career-high 10 batters while allowing four hits and one run against Niagara (4/17)…Started the first-ever NCAA Tournament game for the Stags against Texas Tech (6/3).

2015: MAAC All-Academic Team…Had perhaps the best season of any Stags’ starter this season with a team-best 2.89 ERA…Started the season as a weekday starter but quickly earned a spot in the weekend rotation and did not disappoint with a 1.27 ERA in conference games…Pitched to a 2-1 record, 0.94 ERA in his four starts from March 31-April 19…Struck out 29 hitters during the year, with a career-high six against Hofstra (3/31)…Had the best game of his life on Mother’s Day, tossing nine shutout innings with two strikeouts and 124 pitches at Marist (5/10)…Allowed just one home run on the year.

Summer League: Pitched for the Torrington Titans of the Futures League during Summer 2014.

2014: MAAC Academic Honor Roll ... Appeared in 14 games, making three starts … Went 2-1 and combined for a shutout … Struck out 15 batters with eight walks in 24.1 innings … Got the start in the MAAC Championship elimination contest versus Siena … Got the start against Marist, scattering one run on four hits with two strikeouts in a scheduled 4.0 innings for the win … Went 2.0 innings against Sacred Heart to combine for the shutout … Did not allow a run in five relief appearances (10.2 innings) between April 16 and May 13 … Picked up first collegiate victory at NYIT, striking out three batters in 2.0 innings … Made first collegiate start against Yale … Had a nine-pitch inning, including a strikeout, at St. John’s … Made collegiate debut at George Mason.

High School: Earned four varsity letters at St. Paul Catholic ... Served as team captain as a junior and senior ... Two-time All-NVL and two-time All-State selection ... Helped the Falcons to a Naugatuck Valley League title in 2011 ... Also earned three letters in basketball ... Served as class president ... Member of the National Honor Society.
