Biography

2018: MAAC All-Academic Team….Made 49 starts and appeared in 50 games during his senior season…Finished second on the team with a .407 on-base-percentage with 57 hits, 20 walks, and 10 hit-by-pitches…Collected a seven-game hitting streak where he batted .464 (13-for-28) with 10 RBI and five multi-hit games (4/24 – 5/4)…Became the seventh Stag in program history to collect 200 career hits, getting the milestone at home against Stony Brook (4/26)…Tallied a season-high four hits at George Mason (3/3)…Racked up 22 hits, 14 RBI, and 12 runs scored in his final 15 games…Drove in his 100th career RBI against Hofstra (4/11)…Scored a run in six-straight games, including cross the plate four times against Rider (4/7).

2017: All-MAAC Second Team…MAAC All-Academic Team…Johnny Bench Award Watch List…Once again, remained one of the team’s most consistent and toughest hitter with a .315 average and a .415 on-base-percentage…Finished the year as the toughest MAAC player to strikeout, doing so every 17.9 at-bats, a number that was the seventh best in the country…Also finished second in the MAAC with 17 hit by pitches, the 26th most in the nation…Collected 20 multi-hit games, including a pair in all three games at Stetson (3/17 – 3/19)…Started the season with a season-high four hits at Lamar (2/24)…Had the eventual game-winning hit as he cleared the bases with a double against Saint Peter’s (4/15)…Dominated the running game, allowing only 17 stolen bases in 29 attempts. The Stags shattered the single season record for fewest stolen bases allowed by 21 during the season.

2016: All-MAAC Second Team…All-MAAC Tournament Team…Johnny Bench Award Watch List…Without a doubt was the Stags’ pace setter and intangible leader in helping form the gritty mentality of the Stags…Overall, he finished the season third on the team with a .330 batting average and second on the squad with 37 RBI…In Fairfield wins, he led the team with a .423 batting average (47-for-111) with a slugging percentage of .532 and 29 RBI…During the final 11 games before the NCAA Regional, he was on fire batting an even .500 with a .619 slugging percentage (5/8 – 5/28)…Hit .600 (6-for-10) during the MAAC Tournament and became the only Stag of the season to drive in five runs during his four-hit day against Siena in the MAAC Championship game (5/28)…Had a team-high 13-game hitting streak where he hit .386 with a team-best 22 hits (4/16 – 5/3)…Saved a tie game by driving in the game-winning run in the 13th inning against Sacred Heart as darkness fell (4/26)…Also hit .357 against lefties, .333 with runners on base, .364 with two outs, and drove in the run 71 percent of the time with a runner on third and less than two outs…On the defensive side, he threw out 16 of a potential 48 base runners…His 67 hits are fifth on the single season list.

2015: Was the Stags’ main contributor among first-year players as the catalyst of the offense, batting leadoff on several occasions despite being the Fairfield catcher…First Stag catcher in over 15 years to start a game in the leadoff position…Led first-year players with a .262 batting average, 35 starts, .373 on base percentage, and a .317 slugging percentage…Reached base safely in 15-straight games from April 15 – May 12…Scored three runs in two different games: at NJIT (4/6) and Saint Peter’s (5/2)…Had a career-high three hits and two doubles at Wagner (4/15)…Drew four walks at Canisius, which was one shy of tying a program record (3/30).

High School: Earned four varsity letters at Cromwell High School … Hit .461 as a senior en route to First Team All-Shoreline and First Team All-State honors … Helped team to a pair of Shoreline Championships and a State Championship in 2012.
