Biography

2021: MAAC All-Academic Team…Became the program’s all-time winningest pitcher after picking up his 22nd career win with 2.1 shutout relief innings in the MAAC Quarterfinals against Manhattan (5/20)…Picked up two saves including striking out the final batter against Arizona State to advance the Stags to the Austin Regional Finals (6/6)…Threw a 7.0 complete game shutout against Rider (4/10)…Struck out a season-high nine batters against Monmouth (4/18).

2020: Made three starts, recording a 1-2 record and a 7.45 ERA in 9.2 innings after his first season back after rehabbing from an injury…Struck out six in five scoreless frames in the win over Harvard (3/6).

2019: Preseason All-MAAC…MAAC All-Academic Team…Did not appear in a game for the Stags as he rehabbed from an injury.

2018: All-MAAC First Team… NEIBA Second Team…Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week (3/26)…MAAC Pitcher of the Week (3/27, 4/17)…Was Fairfield’s most accomplished pitcher during the season, leading the team with six wins, 83.0 innings pitched, and a 2.93 ERA…Finished second in the MAAC with 91 strikeouts and five complete games while ranking fourth in wins…Named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week after throwing an eight inning masterpiece at Canisius where he struck out a career-high 14 batters while allowing two hits and one walk. He started his gem by striking out 10 of the first 13 hitters he faced (3/25)…Recorded at least eight strikeouts in five of his final nine starts, including 30 in a three-game span (3/25 – 4/8)…Became the fourth Stag in program history with 200 strikeouts, accomplishing the feat at Marist (4/28).

2017: MAAC All-Tournament Team…Was one of the conference’s most unheralded pitchers as he led the team with a 2.94 ERA in MAAC games and won all four of his decisions…Did not lose a game since March 11 against Penn, going 6-0 in his final 10 starts…Led the MAAC in WHIP (1.05)…Took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and struck out a career-high nine batters in the MAAC Championship Opening Round against Iona…Tossed a nine-inning complete game against Saint Peter’s.

2016: MAAC Rookie of the Week (5/3)…Had one of the most impressive freshman campaigns in the conference, finishing tied for third with a 2.90 ERA and ninth in innings pitched…Started his career as the Fairfield closer and had a dominant debut by striking out five of the first six hitters he faced against Delaware State (2/27)…A pitcher with pinpoint control, he led the entire nation in both fewest walks per nine innings and strikeout-to-walk ration for several weeks during the season…Finished fourth in the country in fewest walks per nine innings (0.86) and seventh in strikeout-to-walk ratio (7.33)…Did not allow a walk for the first 28 innings of his collegiate career and struck out 24 batters during those seven appearances…Became the first MAAC freshman of the year to throw nine innings, allowing just a first inning run at Manhattan (4/29)…Became the first MAAC freshman since the turn of the century to get the win in a Championship clinching game, throwing seven innings against Siena (5/28).

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: Named to the All-SCC All-Quinnipiac team in 2013, seeing time as a starter and reliever during his time with Xavier… In the SCC Semifinals in 2014, helped Xavier defeat the defending champions Amity, by throwing 5.2 innings and striking out seven… Ended up winning the 2014 SCC Championship… Closed games for Xavier, giving the squad their first win of the season in 2015 after striking out two hitters to end the game against West Haven with the tying runs on base… Team captain during senior season.
