2017: All-MAAC First Team…NEIBA Pitcher of the Year…NEIBA First Team…Fairfield University Male Athlete of the Year…MAAC Pitcher of the Week (2/28; 3/21; 3/28; 4/25)…MAAC All-Academic Team…Had one of the best seasons on the mound of any Fairfield pitcher, setting a program record with four shutouts and tied his own single season record with eight wins…Finished the regular season as the nation’s leader with seven complete games, the most by a Stag in 17 years…Ranked 25th in the nation in fewest walks per nine innings at 1.29…Tied a program record with four Pitcher of the Week awards…Hurled back-to-back nine-inning shutouts against Stetson (3/18) and Rider (3/25)…Struck out seven or more batters five times, including a season-high nine at Stetson….Allowed two MAAC runs in his first 30 innings thrown against conference foes.
2016: MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC Pitcher of the Week (5/24)…Tied the single season program record with eight wins during his statement season in becoming the first Stag in 16 years to reach the eight win plateau…His season caught fire after his first MAAC start when he helped the Stags avoid a sweep and went eight innings allowing one run with six strikeouts against Rider (4/2)…Built on that start by throwing a complete game in the seven inning win against Iona (4/10)…It was the first of a conference best five complete games, a number that was tied for eighth in the country…Also finished fifth in the MAAC with 87.2 innings…Threw four-straight complete games and pitched to a 6-2 MAAC record with a 3.02 ERA in conference games…His confidence grew as he got the ball for the first game of the MAAC tournament and earned his eighth win of the year with 7.2 innings of two-run ball.
2015: Made six starts during his rookie campaign with four relief appearances…Got his career started the best way possible, retiring the first six hitters against the top-ranked Florida Gators (3/10)…Threw 1.2 scoreless innings at Hofstra (3/31)…Went three innings allowing one earned run against Fordham (4/21).
High School: Earned three varsity letters at Madison High School … Went 4-3 with a 1.70 ERA as a senior captain … A two-time All-Conference selection … Helped the Dodgers to a 2012 Section Championship … Also earned two letters in basketball.
Personal: Son of Mike and Diane Wallace … Has three siblings … Older brother, Mike, was on the Fairfield pitching staff and signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates … Cousin, Bobby Lanigan, plays for the Minnesota Twins and Red Sox organizations after spending four seasons at Adelphi … Cousin, Ryan Vysokil, plays soccer at Siena … Cousin Caroline is a defender on the Holy Cross women's soccer team ...
