2024: MAAC All-Academic Team…Made eight appearances out of the bullpen which spanned 5.1 innings…Had three-straight scoreless appearances to begin the year while allowing just two hits in 2.0 innings (2/17 – 3/15)…Tallied five scoreless outings.

2023: MAAC All-Academic Team…As a pitcher he appeared in a career-high 14 games tallying 16.1 innings and holding a team-best .190 batting average against…Also posted a 3.86 ERA with 10 strikeouts…Did not allow a run in 11 of 14 appearances…Had a streak of five-straight scoreless outings tallying 9.0 innings (5/3 – 5/27)…Earned his first career win after firing a personal-best 3.0 innings while striking out three in a scoreless outing at Sacred Heart (5/3)…Picked up the victory with 2.0 innings allowing just one walk (5/16)…Tossed 1.2 innings of important relief eventually forcing a winner-take-all final in the MAAC Championships (5/27)…As a hitter, ran out an infield single in his only at-bat of the season against Siena (3/26).

2022: MAAC All-Academic Team…Appeared in 34 games with 32 starts in the outfield…Maintained a six-game hitting streak capped by a career-high tying three hits against Saint Joseph’s (3/6)…Also picked up three base knocks against Dartmouth (3/16) and Rider (4/10)…Drew three walks and scored three runs against Hartford (3/29)…Drove in two runs with a single against UMass (5/3).

2021: Did not appear in a game in his first season with the Stags

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: Berta, a two-way player out of Lakeland High School, joins the Stags after earning 11 victories on the mound in his high school career and maintaining a .355 career average while also patrolling center field. In his final high school season, Berta went a perfect 7-0 on the hill while recording a .455 average and .753 slugging percentage. He helped lead his team to two Class A Championships and become the top-ranked Class A team in New York. He earned two All-League selections and was a finalist for the Westchester/Rockland Player of the Year.
