University of Vermont's 1993 Hall of Fame inductee, Dan Gasparino enters his third season as the Director of Baseball Operations. With his duties, Gasparino will handle the day-to-day operations of the baseball team including travel and scheduling. Gasparino also served as the first base coach during the Stags' 2016 MAAC Championship run.

Gasparino left Vermont after setting 14 offensive records and held the highest fielding percentage in the country as a catcher. After his graduation, he ranked first in the following categories: hits (122), doubles (21), home runs (9), RBI (85), total bases (178), at bats (380), games played (116) and second in batting average (.321). He also committed just nine errors in 500 chances as a catcher (.982 fielding percentage), which at that time was a New England record.

A teammate with Currier with the Catamounts, Gasparino was named the ECAC Player of the Year in 1982 and helped Vermont to 64 wins in his four seasons. Gasparino was inducted into the University of Vermont’s Hall of Fame in 1993, he was drafted by the Yankees in 1982.

After baseball, Gasparino had a very successful career on Wall Street as he spent 30 years trading fixed income for primary dealers.
