2022: All-MAAC Second Team…MAAC All-Academic Team…Posted a 6-2 record including a 6-0 mark in the MAAC…Tossed three-straight starts by allowing just one run and totaled a 1.50 ERA during that span (4/9 – 4/22)…Allowed just one run on one hit in five innings at Rider (4/9)…Fanned a season-high nine batters against Niagara (4/2) and Saint Peter’s (4/22)…Ended the regular season with six innings allowing two earned runs against Siena (5/20).

2021: MAAC Relief Pitcher of the Year…All-MAAC Second Team…MAAC All-Academic Team…Became the first Fairfield pitcher in program history to be named the MAAC Pitcher of the Year as he maintained a 1.66 ERA, the ninth best in program history…Posted a 0.90 ERA during the regular season, the third best ERA in the regular season in Stags’ history…Earned a spot as the Stags’ fourth weekend starter, with a perfect 4-0 record in his starts…Went a career long 6.2 innings allowing just two hits and one unearned run with a career-high six strikeouts against Monmouth (4/18)…Threw six shutout innings allowing just two hits on 70 pitches against Rider (4/10).

2020: Had two appearances and 3.1 innings in the shortened season…Hurled 2.1 scoreless innings allowing just one hit and striking out three against Bethune-Cookman (3/10).

2019: MAAC All-Academic Team…Made 12 appearances with one start holding an ERA of 3.68 in 14.2 innings…Tossed two scoreless innings in his season debut at LIU Brooklyn (3/12)…Earned his lone victory of the season with two shutout innings against Central Connecticut (3/26)…Ended the season strong by allowing just one earned run in his final four appearances, totaling four innings (4/30 – 5/26).

2018: Appeared in four games and made the start at Hartford (2/28)…Tossed a scoreless inning of relief against Rider where he struck out two (4/7)…Allowed one run on one hit in two innings against Stony Brook (4/26).

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: A three year varsity starter at Ansonia, Cafaro was a Connecticut C.I.A.C Junior Select All-Star…A two-sport athlete, he also was the starting quarterback for the Chargers and led them to the 2016 Class S State Championship…Was named the Outstanding Male Athlete at Ansonia.
 
PERSONAL: Born May 2, 1999…Parents are Laurence and Lisa…Has three siblings: Larry, Tyler, and Garrett…Brother Larry is a linebacker at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
