Marketing & Promotions Graduate Assistant (added 4/25/2019)

  
General position summary: Provide assistance to the marketing, ticketing and communications staff in an effort to advance the Fairfield Stags brand, increase attendance at athletics events and drive revenue. A key function of this position is engaging students to drive attendance at athletic events and functions. The selected individual must have strong interpersonal skills, be a strong writer, a creative thinker and knowledge of NCAA Division I policies and practices. Must be a self-starter and work well in a team setting.
  
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all gameday presentation components, including on-court/field promotions/sponsored elements, pre-game & post-game receptions, tailgates, and in-game performances, as well as managing digital content associated with games.
  • Develop and execute promotional schedules for sports as assigned
  • Assist in the expansion of the Lil’ Stags Club by recruiting new members in the community, reaching out to local youth groups and community centers.
  • Manage the Super Stags App (the official Athletics app for Fairfield University) content, including uploading images, event locations, promotions, push notifications and fan challenges.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute communications to the campus and the Fairfield community through all of the Fairfield Athletics channels (email, press releases, social media, advertisements). Including ticket promotions and special events.
  • Design and create content in Photoshop and InDesign for social media and digital signage on campus.
  • Coordinate the creation of posters, schedule cards and other marketing collateral for all sports.
  • Manage Lucas the Stag and his appearances on campus and in the community.
  • Other duties as assigned, related to athletics marketing, communications and external promotions.
