LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Fairfield University women’s golf team improved by seven strokes on Saturday and sits in seventh place with 18 holes to play at the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. Olivia Brooks and Danielle Dalessandro each carded an 80 to pace Fairfield on day two from Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course.
Brooks is Fairfield’s overall leader with a two-day 158. She is currently in sixth place, nine shots behind individual leader Julia Kemmling of Quinnipiac. Dalessandro vaulted up to 20th on the leaderboard with a 165.
All five Stags improve their individual score on Saturday, with Molly Hair turning in an 85 and the duo of Jackie Schofield and Michelle Applegate each posting an 87.
Quinnipiac holds 19-stroke lead atop the team leaderboard with a 616. Monmouth is in second place with a 635.
In addition to the live leaderboard, final round coverage of the 2016 MAAC Championship will be broadcast on ESPN3 beginning at 10 a.m.
