STAMFORD, Conn. – The Fairfield University women’s tennis team began its spring season on Saturday evening with a visit from St. John’s. The Red Storm came away from the Solaris Club in Stamford with a 7-0 win.
The doubles point went to visitors with wins over Fairfield’s Allison Radde and Sarah Stuhlmann at No. 1 and Helen Abbot and Karen McKeough at No. 3. The No. 2 match featuring Kaila Nelson and Erika Nannery went unfinished after the Red Storm clinched the point.
Stuhlmann and Radde represented the Stags at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, fllowed by Nicole Aragones, Nelson, Abbot and Nannery.
The Stags return to the court next Saturday, Feb. 7, in Easton, Pa. at Lafayette College.
