NEWARK, N.J. – The Fairfield University men's swim team was edged by NJIT, 135-127, this afternoon in the Stags' final road dual of the year. Sophomore
Connor Daly was a part of four victories to highlight Fairfield's day.
Daly began the meet by swimming the third leg of the victorious 200y medley relay. He then won the 200y fly with a time of 1:56.43, finishing nearly seven seconds head of the runner-up. He then captured the 200y back with a personal best of 2:01.68, which was six seconds faster than the next finisher. Daly rounded out the day by winning the 200y IM with a time of 1:59.20.
Senior
Cody Parker captured the 100y fly, clocking a time of 55.61 seconds. Parker was also the runner-up in the 200y free with a time of 1:47.80 and took third in the 50y free with a time of 23.51 seconds.

Jay Cook and senior
Kyle Rozanitis took the top two spots. Cook posted a winning time of 59.62 seconds while Rozanitis touched in 59.81 seconds.
Senior
Kevin Greener was the runner-up in the 1000y free with a time of 10:14.83. He was also the runner-up in the 500y free with a time of 4:58.97. Senior
Rich Straub was the runner-up in the 100y breaststroke with a time of 1:05.49 and was the runner-up in the 200y breaststroke with a time of 2:29.45 Freshman
Scott McGinty was the runner-up in the 50y free with a time of 23.13 seconds. He also took third in the 100y free with a time of 50.23 seconds.
The 200y medley relay of McGinty, Straub, Daly, and Cook posted a winning time of 1:42.57. The 800y freestyle relay of McGinty, Greener, Cook, and Parker placed second with a time of 7:29.42.
The Stags will return to action on February 1 when they host Iona College at 1pm on Senior Day at the RecPlex.
