Swimming & Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America

The Fairfield University men's and women's swimming & diving teams earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All America Award for the Spring 2013 semester as announced by the organization.

The Fairfield women's team maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 during the spring, the highest of any MAAC program recognized and the 18th-highest of all the Division I programs recognized. The women's team has earned CSCAA Team Scholar All America honors in each of the last nine semesters.

The Fairfield men's team maintained a 3.22 GPA during the spring to earn the CSCAA award for the fourth consecutive semester. Canisius was the only MAAC program higher, turning in a 3.25 GPA for the semester.

The Team Scholar All America Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
