The Fairfield University Department of Athletics launched a new blog this morning, tabbed Stag Tracks. It is a first-person account of the happenings within Stags Athletics and can be found here.
Student-athletes, coaches and administrators will provide fans with insight into the goings on within a Division I athletics program. The first student-athlete posting is from Michael O'Keeffe as he begins to chronicle his 2012 Olympic journey with the New Zealand soccer team.
Through the year fans will be able to find posts from student-athletes talking about travel, classes, community service, and all that it takes to be a Division I athlete. You will find coaches talking about accomplishments of the program, their players, and the nitty-gritty of coaching at this level and to hear from administrators, talking about issues that face the department, our teams, the NCAA and our fans.
