FAIRFIELD, Conn. –
The Fairfield University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams swept Saint Peter’s College this afternoon at the RecPlex. The Fairfield men posted a 158-140 victory while the women’s team notched the 188.5-97.5 win.
 
Junior Cacky Keating and senior Michelle Yoshida were both triple winners for the Stags. Keating won the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:28.10 and captured the 100m butterfly with a time of 1:07.38. Yoshida won the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:06.05 and the 50m freestyle. Yoshida and Keating along with Suzy Lawlor and Emily Pedrick won the 200m medley relay with a time of 2:04.07.
 
In the 100m breaststroke, Lawlor and the Peahens’ Alexandra Sison both touched in a time of 1:17.03. Later in the 200m breaststroke, Lawlor beat out Sison for first place. Lawlor had a time of 2:46.14 while Sison touched in 2:48.34.
 
Sophomore Margaret Osmulski was a double winner for the Stags. She captured the 800m freestyle with a time of 9:28.15 and the 100m freestyle in a time of 1:01.06.
 
Freshman Meredith LaBerge won the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:43.30 while classmate Alex Hearn captured the 200m freestyle with a personal best of 2:18.34.
 
Freshman Tyler Conley broke his own program record 50m free finishing with a time of 23.66 seconds to win the event. Conley also broke his own program record in the 100m freestyle, finishing with a time of 52.89 seconds, but was touched out of first by Valerijs Lebedevs who finished in 52.65 seconds.
 
Sophomore Cody Parker won the 200m free with at time of 1:59.60. Sophomore Kevin Greener won the 800m freestyle with a time of 8:55.93 while Parker finished in 9:08.29.
 
The men’s 400m freestyle relay of Doug Leclair, Brendan Sarpu, Parker, and Conley set a program record with a winning time of 3:37.00.
 
On the boards, Ashlee Steinberger won both women’s events, recording a score of 228.83 on the 1-meter and a 213.15 on the 3-meter. Classmate Lauren Kemple posted second place finishes, notching a personal best of 177.00 on the 1-meter and a personal best of 171.98 on the 3-meter.
 
On the men’s side, junior Ryan Krebs won the 3-meter with a personal best of 244.88 beating out teammate Evan Barr  who had a personal best of 244.58. Barr captured the 1-meter with a mark of 206.55. Krebs finished with a mark of 198.00 on the 1-meter. Freshman Joe Dowling placed third on the 1-meter with a score of 200.78 and had a score of 182.77 on the 3-meter. Freshman Will Sullivan had a personal best of 155.55 on the 3-meter and a mark of 154.63 on the 1-meter.
 
The swimmers have concluded the first half of their season. The divers will be in action December 3-4 at the Wesleyan Cardinal Diving Invitational.
