2011: Wigand enjoyed the best offensive season of her career with a .296 overall batting average, and a .325 hitting percentage against MAAC opponents. She saw a season-long five-game hitting streak end in the last regular-season game against Marist. In that five-game run, Wigand had eight hits in 14 at-bats (.571). Wigand’s 29 RBI in 2011 more than doubled her 18 RBI total over her first two seasons with the Stags. She had a stellar day against Niagara on May 7 when she went three for five with two home runs and five RBI. She hit a two-run shot that broke up a scoreless tie and was the difference in a win, and hit a two-run game-tying home run in the bottom of the sixth inning against the Purple Eagles. She posted 15 walks against 16 strikeouts, which raised her on-base percentage to .395. Wigand registered a hit in 31 of her 53 appearances, including eight games with multiple hits.

2010: Wigand started all 44 of her appearances, missing just two games during the season (Bryant and second Harvard game). The third baseman had a hit in 17 of her 44 games, including four multiple-hit games. Wigand posted four hits in six at-bats in a doubleheader against Marist, scoring a run and driving home a pair of base runners. She registered a season-high three hits against Central Connecticut and Marist. In the first game of the Central Connecticut doubleheader, Wigand scored four runs as the Stags posted a 20-9 victory. She owned a .293 on-base percentage and a .276 slugging percentage. Wigand enjoyed a solid season defensively, recording a team-high 85 assists with 51 putouts in 149 total chances. 

2009: Wigand has been a regular in the lineup since she made her debut on February 20. She appeared in all but two games, missing a game against Providence and Central Connecticut. Wigand finished the year with a .208 batting average, picking up a hit in 22 of her 47 games. She posted a four-game hitting streak from April 9 to April 16, and also had two three-game streaks. She posted one double during the year, picking up the two-bagger against Bethune-Cookman. She was also a successful base runner, scoring 11 runs and stealing three bases in four attempts. Wigand ended the season with a team-high 91 assists in the field, and owned a .973 fielding percentage (52 put outs). 

Before Fairfield: Wigand played soccer and softball at Oceanside High School, where she was a four year starter for both sports. As a senior, Wigand led her high school team to the 2008 Nassau County championship. She brings athleticism, strength, and versatility to the infield and should vie for playing time immediately. Wigand was a member of both the Foreign Language and National Honor Society at Oceanside High School. She spent the time as a member of the Long Island Fire & Ice Storm ASA team and was a former Fairfield Softball Camp MVP. She has not declared a major.
