Biography
2021-22: Played three games in an injury-mired season…Made his season debut in the win over Medgar Evers, finishing with four points and five rebounds...Grabbed an offensive board and put it back for a two points in the win at William & Mary...Added a bucket in the win at Fairleigh Dickinson.
2020-21: Jason Edokpayi collected playing time in nine games as a freshman, coming off the bench for his first four games before gaining a starting nod in the final five games of the season. The forward ended the campaign with eight field goals made in 16 attempts (.500) which translated in 17 points for a 1.9 scoring average. His best scoring output came in his first career start, an eight-point effort against Manhattan on March 5. He connected on four of five shots in the game with three offensive rebounds and an assist also to his credit in that game. He garnered a personal-best five rebounds against the Jaspers in the first round of the MAAC Championship, one better than his four-point total during his 18 minutes of work. Edokpayi netted eight of his 12 field goal attempts during the year, but finished by misfiring on his final four attempts over his last three appearances.
Before Fairfield
Edokpayi helped Mount St. Joseph High School (Baltimore) to a 27-11 record in 2018-19. This year, Edokpayi averaged a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds per contest which helped him earn the Baltimore Catholic League's Most Improved Player. He also collected a spot on the All-BCL first team.
