2020-21: Supreme Cook emerged as one of the team’s top big men last year and also gained notice within the conference after turning in a strong freshman season. The forward averaged 6.3 points per game which was aided by his impressive play in the MAAC Championship. Cook averaged 8.9 points per game over the four-game stretch, the most points he scored in a four-game set during 2020-21. He registered back-to-back double-digit scoring games for the first time when he tallied 11 points against Monmouth and 10 points versus Saint Peter’s in Atlantic City. He capped his 11-point night with a personal-best 14 rebounds which presented Cook with his first career double-double. He led the team with 16 blocks in his 27 games played, rejecting two or more shots in four games. His best defensive run came with three blocks against Quinnipiac and two more in both ends of the Saint Peter’s series for seven total rejections. He was the team’s most accurate shooter with a .541 field goal percentage, connecting on 60 of 111 attempts.
Before Fairfield
Cook joined the Stags basketball program after spending last season at The Peddie School. The forward also attended East Orange Campus High School for three years and St. Benedict's Prep for one year before enrolling at the Peddie School. Cook played AAU basketball with the New Jersey Roadrunners, the same program which featured current Fairfield University guard
Taj Benning.He has been a scorer throughout his scholastic career, posting 10 or more points on average since his sophomore season. Last season, Cook garnered several post-season honors from NJHoops.com, earning second-team All-State Independent/Prep and a spot on site's All-Rebounding first team. His efforts are around the rim have also been noticed defensively as he averaged better than three blocks per game through his career. He served as Peddie's team captain for the 2019-20 campaign.
