Biography
Part of the 200y and 400y medley relay records
2015-16: Swam three personal bests at the 2016 MAAC Championships and was a part of the 200y and 400y medley relay teams that set Fairfield program records… In the 50 freestyle he swam a 21.69, in the 100 freestyle he swam a 47.71, and in the 100 butterfly he swam a 51.79… All three times are top 10 in Fairfield history… At the Terrier Invitational he swam a personal best in the 200 butterfly (1:51.32).
Before Fairfield: At the Haverford School, Nelligan was a two time All-American, two time All-League selection, and a two time selection to the second team All-County. He was also the recipient of the McQuillen Trophy for Leadership. The team earned a second place finish at the Eastern InterScholastic Swimming and Diving Championships as well as a second place finish at the Inter-Ac. Nelligan is a four time high school record holder and a two time county record holder.
Personal: Son of William and Ann Nelligan... has three siblings, Katherine, William, and John...Major is Biology.
