Part of the 200y and 400y medley relay records
2015-16: Finished the season with two times in Fairfield’s all-time Top 10…Both times were set at the MAAC Championships, in the 50 Freestyle he posted a 21.63 and in the 100 Breaststroke he swam a 1:01.75… Also at the MAAC Championships set program records as part of the 200y and 400y Medley Relay…His best time in the 50 Freestyle came at the MAAC Championships (21.63)…His second best times of the year came at the Terrier Invitational in which he posted a 1:02.95 in the 100 Breaststroke, a 48.46 in the 100 Freestyle, a 22.45 in the 50 Freestyle.
Before Fairfield: Burke graduated Suma Cum Laude from St. Johns. While at Sigonella he was named to the DoDDs All-Europe Academic First Team. He received Order of the Purple Heart National Leadership Award. He was also a three-time team captain and MVP at Sigonella and a three-time European Forces Swim League Champion. Burke was also a five-time European Forces Swim League record holder.
Personal: Son of James and Thea Burke... Has one brother, Patrick (24)...Major is Nursing.
