2017: MAAC All-Academic Team… MAAC Defensive Player of the Week (3/6, 4/3)… Started all 18 games in net as a senior for Fairfield… Posted the best goals against average in the MAAC at 9.06 which also ranked the eighth best in a single-season in program history… She finished the year with 122 saves, a .452 save percentage, and 12 wins to her name… Overall she ranks seventh all-time at Fairfield with 32 games played, eighth in games started (19), eighth in minutes (1143:28), ninth in saves (153), and sixth in wins (13).
2016: MAAC All-Academic… Made three appearances for the Stags as a junior… Played just over 20 minutes between the pipes… Posted four saves with a .667 save percentage and a 5.88 goals against average.
2015: O’Connor competed in seven contests as the Stags’ goalkeeper, with her first collegiate start against Monmouth. She saw action against Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut State, and conference foes Manhattan, Iona, Niagara, and Quinnipiac where she tallied 20 saves with a save percentage of .556. O’Connor recorded 119:08 in goal for Fairfield, where she faced 44 shots, and finished the season with a goals-against average of 8.06.
2014: O’Connor appeared in four contests as a goalkeeper for the Stags, where she tallied seven saves with a save percentage of .583. O’Connor recorded 24:15 in goal for Fairfield, seeing time in the net against Niagara, Iona, Siena, and Quinnipiac. O’Connor faced 14 shots and finished the season with a goals against average of 12.37.
Before Fairfield: O’Connor comes to Fairfield after lettering three seasons at Villa Walsh Academy, where she stopped 50 percent of the shots that she faced in her career. She helped the Vikings to 38 wins in her three seasons. As a junior, O’Connor was named to the All-League Second Team and was a Morris County All-Country Honorable Mention. As a senior, she earned a save percentage of .500, earning All-Daily Record Honorable Mention recognition.
Personal: Daughter of Corinne and Tim O’Connor… Has one sister, Emma… Her cousins, Jerry and Kate Schlichting, are Fairfield alumni… Cousin, Jerry, played golf at Fairfield… Member of the Honors Program and the Creative Life Community at Faber Hall… Majors are Business and Communications.
