Biography

2010: Leo captained the 2010 squad as a defensive midfielder. She started all 19 games for the Stags, and with her stick skills and athletic ability played a crucial role in the Stags transition play. Leo led the Stags in assists for the second consecutive season finishing with eight, in addition to one goal for 10 points on the year. She was a pivotal part of both offensive and defensive corners as she was the inserter for almost every penalty corner for the Stags as well as the flyer on defensive corners.


2009: Leo led the team with seven assists, representing nearly half of the team’s 15 assists. She tied for sixth on Fairfield’s single-season assist list with her assist total. Leo was a key component in  Fairfield’s penalty corners. She also scored a pair of goals during the season, beating the goalkeeper against Sacred Heart University and Hofstra University. Leo was also a solid defender, registering a defensive save against Villanova University. Leo finished the 2009 campaign as a member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad, her first selection to the team.  

2008
: Leo worked her way into the starting lineup in 2008 after being a spot starter in her rookie season. She started all but one of her 18 appearances, coming off the bench against Siena in mid-September. She scored her first collegiate points with a pair of assists. She opened the season with an assist on the team's lone goal against Virginia Commonwealth. She added a second assist late in the season, setting up one of the team's goals in a 4-2 loss to New Hampshire. Leo recorded one defensive save as well, making a stop against Albany.  



2007
: Leo appeared in 17 games in 2007, and gained four starts (Lehigh, Columbia, Yale, and Maine). Her 17 appearances ranked third among first-year players, just three games shy of the team lead. The Pennsylvania native often entered the game to bolster the Stags defensive efforts, especially late in the game. Leo attempted one shot during the year, making an attempt against Monmouth. 

Before Fairfield
: Leo was a two-year starter at Crestwood High School, and helped the team post a 36-8-0 overall record during her career. The team posted an impressive 19-4 mark and a 15-1 conference mark in 2006. Crestwood finished the campaign as the District Runner-Up and gained an invitation to the State tournament. She capped her senior season with a spot on the All-State first team and Citizens Voice All-Star first team. Leo was also a member of Crestwood’s track and field team. Outside of high school, Leo participated in the Futures program and the National Festival. As a student, Leo achieved academic high honors and was named to the NFHCA High School National Academic Squad. Leo capped her season with a berth to the PHSFHCA Academic All-State team as a senior.
