2017: MAAC All-Academic Team. Played in nine games. Tallied one assist against LIU Brooklyn. Registered one shot on goal.
2016: Made eight appearances for the Stags in her freshman season. She scored her first career goal against Sacred Heart on October 21 and got her first assist on October 29 against LIU Brooklyn. Doherty finished the season with three total points.Â
Before Fairfield: While at Newfield, was a member of the National Honor Society, LOTE Honor Society, and GPA Honor Roll. On the field, her team was ranked fourth in the division in 2014. In 2015, the team was ranked first and made their first appearance in the semifinals and the Suffolk County Finals. Her club team also made the trip to Nationals in 2014. Individually, Doherty is well decorated. In 2013, she was named All-Conference and All-Division. In 2014, she was named First Team All-State, All-Tournament, Middle County Athlete of the Month, All-Long Island, and Team MVP. In 2015, the midfielder was First Team All-State, All-Tournament, Athlete of the Year, All-Long Island, Athlete of the Month, and Team MVP.
Personal: Daughter of Tammy and Scott Doherty… Has two sisters, Kaitlyn (11) and Dana (12)… Major is International Business and Communication.
