Biography

Spent the 2012 summer playing with the Seattle Sounders FC, on a roster with several US Olympic and National Team members. Signed a professional contract with Sky Blue FC of the National Women's Soccer League in June 2014.

2013: NSCAA All-Northeast Region First Team … All-MAAC First Team … MAAC Championship All-Tournament Team … MAAC All-Academic Team … Appeared in all 21 games, starting 20 contests … Had 11 points on the season with a team-best seven assists and two goals. Had a goal and an assist in 2-1 victory over Holy Cross. Struck again in win at St. Peter’s. 

2012: All-MAAC First Team … MAAC Championship All-Tournament Team … MAAC All-Academic Team … Stanton appeared in all 19 games the Stags played, with starts in 18 of the contests. She was one of eight players that scored multiple goals, netting a pair, as well as adding an assist in the regular season finale win over Manhattan. Stanton's first tally was an insurance goal in a 2-0 win over MAAC foe Niagara. Two games later she put a PK in the back of the net at Marist.

2011: All-MAAC First Team … MAAC All-Academic Team …  Stanton appeared in every game that the Stags played, starting all but one of them. She finished the campaign tied for the team lead with eight points, with her lone goal coming on a PK in the league win over Rider on Senior Day. Stanton assisted on 40 percent of the Stags goals, for a team-high six, which accounted for more than half of the team's 11 total for the year.

2010: MAAC All-Academic Team ... Stanton made her collegiate debut at Bryant on August 22 and was credited with an assist in that contest. She went on to start all 20 games for the Stags during the year, finishing with three points. Stanton touched net for the first-time in the Stags season finale against Harvard, scoring the team's only goal.

2009: Stanton received a medical redshirt after missing the season as she rehabbed a knee injury suffered prior to enrolling at Fairfield.

High School: Stanton earned four varsity letters at Mount Si as she led the Wildcats to three state quarterfinal appearances and 46 wins. She finished her scholastic career with 26 goals and 34 assists. She had 31 of those points as a senior (12G, 7A) as she led Mount Si to the league title and was received First-Team All-State accolades. Stanton was named King Count 3A League Player of the Year as a junior and was a three-time First-Team All-League selection. She was named the team MVP following both her junior and senior seasons. A team captain as a senior, Stanton was the school's Female Athlete of the Year, as well as earning All-Star Select Team recognition from the Seattle Post Intelligencer. Stanton played her club soccer for the Crossfire Premier, leading the team to five state titles and a Region IV Championship in 2006. An ODP member since 2005, Stanton played for the SYL National Team in 2006.

Off The Field: Stanton graduated from Fairfield in May with a degree in Psychology. She is currently working towards a Master's Degree in Communications. Stanton earned Dean's List honors in seven of her undergraduate semesters and maintained a 3.0 GPA in each of her eight undergraduate semesters.

Personal: Daughter of Leslie and Glen Stanton and has one brother.
