Biography

2016: All-MAAC Second Team…CoSida Academic All-District First Team…MAAC All-Academic Team…Finished the season as the team’s top goal scorers with six markers…Scored the game-winning goal with 90 seconds to play against Rider in her final appearance at Lessing Field (10/22)… Started the season with a multi-goal effort at UC Irvine (8/19)…Became the first visiting player to score at St. John’s during the 2016 season as her tally in the 75th minute snapped the streak (9/4)… Became first Stag in program history to be named to the CoSida Academic All-District Team in back-to-back seasons…Took a season-high 13 shots against Saint Peter’s (10/5)… Led the team with 30 shots on goal.

2015: CoSida Academic All-District First Team…MAAC Offensive Player of the Week (9/14)…MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC Academic Honor Roll...Became the fourth player in program history and the first since 2008 to be named to the CoSida Academic All-District First Team…Was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week after accounting for all three goals against Rhode Island with a goal and two assists (9/11)…Scored both goals in the 2-2 draw at Stony Brook, including the equalizer with three minutes remaining (9/23)…Also recorded a goal and assist at Canisius (10/3)…Led the team with 14 points.

2014: MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC Academic Honor Roll...Started the first eight matches of the season and was on her way cementing herself as a top scorer for the Stags, before an injury cut her season short…Had the game-winner in two of the first three games for the Stags at Army (8/22) and in the home opener against Maine (9/29)…The victory over the Black Knights gave Fairfield their first win over Army since 2006…Fired the game winner in the corner of the 18-yard box in the win against Maine, extending Fairfield’s home unbeaten streak to 15 games (which at the time tied a program record).

2013: MAAC Academic Honor Roll ... Appeared in all 21 games, starting six games, as a rookie. Finished the season with 11 points, good for second on the team, on five goals, including three game-winners, and an assist. Made collegiate debut at Army. Made first collegiate start at Hartford. Picked up first collegiate points by scoring the game-winner in the 1-0 victory against Yale. Had two goals in the win at Canisius. Scored the game-winner over Niagara. Had the game-winning goal and assisted on another in the 3-0 win over Siena.

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: Brown earned four varsity letters at North Salem High School, helping the Tigers to the 2009 Section title and a 2010 league regular season crown. She finished her career with 162 points, with 70 goals and 22 assists and served as team captain her final two seasons. Brown was named the Section One Player of the Year and First Team All-State following a senior season that saw her score 25 times and hand out six assists. She was named Fourth Team All-State as a junior, earning her first of consecutive All-Section honors. She was inducted into both the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society while in high school. 

PERSONAL: Daughter of Andrea and Andrew Brown... Her father played hockey at Manhattan College...Her older brother, Nicholas, was a lacrosse player at Elmira College who appeared in 26 games during his career, recording a goal against Hartwick and racking up 20 groundballs in 2015... A double major in finance and math.
