Biography
General: Courtney Chmil joins the Stags midfield.
Off the Field: Chmil is a Communications major.
High School: Chmil earned four varsity letters at Our Lady of Mercy Academy and finished her career with 287 points and three CHSAA All-League honors. A team captain as a senior, she scored 43 times, while handing out 23 assists and was name the schools Most Outstanding Athlete and earned a Wendy’s High School Heisman. Chmil led her club team, Long Island Yellow Jackets, to a 2009 Galaxy title and earned All-Galaxy in 2010.
Personal: Courtney Margaret Chmil is the daughter of Barbara and Stephen Chmil. Her mother swam at American University, while her dad played baseball at Vanderbilt University before going on to spend three season in the Atlanta Braves organization and two years in the Dodgers organization. She has an older sister, Alexandra, an older brother, Stephen – who plays lacrosse at Brown – and a younger brother, Matthew.
