2011: Leo made her freshman debut against St. Joseph's in the Stags' first game of the season.  She played in 14 games throughout the year starting two against cross-town rival, Sacred Heart, and conference foe, Vermont.  Her aggressiveness on the front half earned her more and more playing time as the season progressed.  Leo will continue to add tremendous depth on offense in the 2012 season.

Before Fairfield: Emily Leo begins her first season with the Stags after a successful career at Crestwood High School. The forward lists an extensive resume that includes experience at the local, regional, and national level. She helped Crestwood reach the PIAA State semifinals in 2010 after winning the District 2 championship. She earned four varsity letters at Crestwood High School, and received berths to the All-State team as well as the Academic All-State squad. Leo also participated in the Keystone Games where she won three silver medals (2009, 2007, 2006) and two bronze medals (2008, 2005). On the national scene, Leo played National Futures in 2008. In 2010, she played at the USFHA NIT U-19 with the Valley Styx and at the USFHA Disney Showcase with Team CNY. She collected a spot on the NFHCA National Academic Squad in her senior season as well. Leo was also a standout on the track, as she earned three varsity letters and qualified for Districts in the 100m, 200m, and 4 x 100m relay. Off the field, Leo was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. She was named the Crestwood High School’s Student of the Year for 2005-06.
