2009-10
Wade became only the third player in Houston history to record back-to-back 100 assist seasons and only the 15th student-athlete with multiple 100-assist seasons. He dished off 167 assists in 35 games in 2009-10, averaging 4.8 assists per game. He came off the bench for the first four games of the season, but started the next 31 games. He scored 10 or more points in three of his four reserve roles, highlighted by a 13-point effort against Nicholls State in the season opener. He also reached double figures in his first start with a season-high 15 markers at Alaska-Anchorage, netting six of eight shots from the floor which included all three three-point attempts. He would come close to that point total two other times, netting 13 points at Iowa State and against East Carolina in the Conference USA tournament. In that East Carolina game, Wade connected on all four field goal attempts, including three three-point shots, and both free throw attempts. He also dished off seven assists without a turnover in the game. It was the fourth of six games in which Wade would not turn the ball over. In fact, Wade registered 19 assists against one turnover in four C-USA tournament games, leading the team to the championship as the number seven seed. He finished the season with 167 assists against 62 turnovers and added 53 steals.

He started his collegiate career with a 10-point performance against Georgia Southern, a total he surpassed one game later with a season-high 15 points versus Presbyterian. He would equal that point total one other time, making six of eight field goals, a three pointer, and a pair of free throws against Mississippi Valley State.
