FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Volleyball takes the court at Leo D. Mahoney Arena for the first time in 2026 with this weekend's Fairfield Invitational. The Stags host Central Connecticut State, Brown, and Middle Tennessee for this year's iteration for the round robin event with a total of six matches on the tournament docket.
 
Admission is free for all matches this weekend and all Fairfield Volleyball home matches this season.

Fairfield University Stags (4-4, 0-0 Metro)

• Fairfield enters its home tournament with a record of 4-4. The Stags most recently split a weekend at the Hofstra Invitational with a sweep of Army West Point and a loss to Liberty.
• Katelyn Cook was named the Metro Conference Libero of the Week after recording 4.57 digs per set on Long Island.
• Harlan Wyche picked up her 200th career block in the win over Army. The junior leads the Metro and ranks 35th in the nation with 1.37 blocks per set this season.
• Fairfield's balanced attack features six primary hitters averaging better than one kill per set. Mamie Krubally and Aislin Oldach head that roster with 2.47 and 2.46 kills per frame, respectively.
• Natalie Carlin paces the Stags' back row with 3.27 digs per set, good for seventh in the Metro.
• Fairfield Volleyball was 13-1 at home last season and is 34-8 at Leo D. Mahoney Arena all time (2023-pres.).

 
Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils (2-7, 0-0 NEC)

• CCSU brings a 2-7 record to Mahoney Arena after a five-set home loss to Manhattan on Tuesday.
• The Blue Devils have also lost to Metro teams Siena, Sacred Heart, and Iona. CCSU owns wins over Holy Cross and NJIT.
• CCSU leads the NEC in hitting percentage at .186 and ranks second with opponents hitting .230 against them.
• Olivia Keckler is tops in her conference and 21st nationally with 4.28 kills per set. She is the third-most prolific attacker in the nation at 12.76 swings per set.
• Annabelle Denomme leads the CCSU defense with 3.09 digs per stanza.
• With wins over CCSU in each of the last three seasons, the Stags have claimed a 13-11 advantage in the all-time series. The ledger dates back to a 3-2 win for Fairfield over the Blue Devils at Alumni Hall in 1989.

 
Brown University Bears (1-4, 0-0 Ivy)

• Brown is off to a 1-4 start to 2026. The Bears own a win over Rhode Island with losses to Providence, Bryant, Long Beach State, and Loyola Marymount.
• The Bears have hit .197 thus far and opponents are hitting .231 against them.
• Fisayo Afonja has put down an Ivy League-best 3.29 kills per set. Sophia Wolfson adds 2.67 kills per frame swinging at a .364 clip that ranks as the best in the Ivy.
• Defensively, Eve McLaury has a team-high 3.71 digs per set, and Wolfson is the only Bear with double-digit blocks with 19 in 21 sets of action.
• Fairfield is 8-2 and riding an eight-match winning streak over Brown. The Bears making their first trip to Mahoney Arena and only their second-ever trip to campus. Previously, Brown visited Alumni Hall for a 3-0 Fairfield win in 1997.
• The Stags and Bears most recently met in 2016 in Worcester, reviving a series that had been dormant since 2001.

 
Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders (6-3, 0-0 CUSA)

• Middle Tennessee heads north with a 6-3 record after a third consecutive 2-1 weekend. The Blue Raiders hosted their home tournament last weekend in Murfreesboro, earning wins over Northern Colorado and Murray State alongside a loss to Georgia State.
• MTSU is the top blocking team in Conference USA with 2.49 blocks per set led by 1.36 from Michaela Dlouha.
• Offensively, Sophia Henry and Gabrielle Clinkscale set the pace with 3.18 and 2.94 kills per frame, respectively.
• The Blue Raiders are hitting .240 as a unit while opponents are hitting .186 against them.
• Saturday's match will be the first meeting between the Stags and MTSU. The Blue Raiders are Fairfield's second CUSA team on the 2026 docket following last Saturday's loss to Liberty.
