FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team will conclude non-conference play when they travel to Teaneck, N.J., to face the NEC Preseason favorites FDU on Wednesday at 6pm. The Stags have posted a 2-2-1 record through their first five matches of the non-conference slate and are coming off a 4-0 loss to Harvard their last time out.
Fairfield has scored eight goals in their first five matches, ranking fourth in the Metro.
Ella Pisani is the team leader with four of those scores, ranking second in the conference goals (1.0) and points (2.0) per game.
Similar to the Stags, FDU is coming off an unbeaten conference regular season before being upset in the semifinals. The Knights picked up seven first place votes in the NEC preseason poll while returning four All-NEC First Team student-athletes.
This will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools in a series that started last season with a 5-0 Fairfield victory.
The Stags will return home to open up their Metro Conference play with a matchup against Rider on Saturday at 5pm.
