OPENING FACEOFF
Fairfield Men's Lacrosse returns to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium to host Holy Cross on Saturday, April 11. Opening faceoff is set for noon.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
Fairfield was unable to overcome a strong defensive stand by Hofstra, falling to the host Pride by a score of 13-6 last Saturday on Long Island.
Rob Moore scored two goals for the Stags, and
Landon Whitney made a season-best 15 saves.
Â
Fairfield scored the game's first two goals.
Justin Brown had the lone tally of the first quarter with Whitney turning away all seven shots he faced in the frame. Moore added his first just 2:10 into the second quarter to push the lead to 2-0, but Fairfield would not score for the ensuing 10 minutes as Hofstra embarked on a 6-0 run. Moore ended the drought just before the half, sending Fairfield to the locker room facing a 6-3 deficit.
Â
The host Pride, however, resumed their run after the intermission with another 6-0 stretch to open up a 12-3 advantage.
Jake Gilbert got the Stags back on the board with 6:51 remaining, followed by goals for
Jason LaMay Jr. and
Devin Lampron. Hofstra tacked one on in the closing seconds to round out the 13-6 final.
Â
TALKING POINTS
- Fairfield hosts a non-conference game to fill the gap in the schedule left by Delaware's departure.

- With 125 career ground balls, Radossich is also four shy of cracking Fairfield's all-time top 10.
- Will Consoli leads the Fairfield offense with 31 points, including a team-high 14 assists.
Â
A NON-CONFERENCE DETOUR
Fairfield hosts Holy Cross in non-conference action to fill the gap in the schedule left by Delaware. The Stags last played a non-league regular season game this late in the campaign in 2014, when Fairfield visited Quinnipiac on April 15 for the penultimate game of the regular season before finishing the ECAC slate against Ohio State.
Â

All-America defenseman
Julian Radossich ranks second in the nation with 2.73 caused turnovers per game. His 30 caused turnovers are second in a single season in Fairfield history, trailing only his own mark of 42 last season.
Â
Radossich is also sixth in the CAA (second among non-faceoff men) with 3.73 ground balls per game.
