FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Goalkeeper Evan Chomow earned his second consecutive Metro Conference Defensive Player of the Week award after helping the Fairfield University men's soccer team win a pair of games last week.

The sophomore allowed just one goal in those 180 minutes which came on a rebound after he made a penalty kick save against Quinnipiac University. Chomow finished with five saves including four second-half stops against the Bobcats in the Stags' 2-1 win. He followed up with a pair of saves against Mount St. Mary's for his third clean sheet of the season as Fairfield posted a 3-0 victory. Fairfield knocked both Quinnipiac and Mount St. Mary's from the unbeaten ranks in Metro play, leaving the Stags as the lone unbeaten team in conference play (5-0).

For the season, Chomow leads Metro Conference goalkeepers with his .796 save percentage which comes off his 39 stops in his 10 appearances in 2026. His 1.01 goals against average is second in the conference, just off Rider's Marius Helias who owns a 1.00 GAA. Chomow is one four Metro goalkeepers with three shutouts on the season.

The Fairfield University men's soccer program, under Head Coach Krystian Witkowski, continues Metro play this week by hosting Marist University on Wednesday night. The Stags and the Red Foxes will meet at Lessing Field beginning at 6 pm.
