FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team will gear up for their Western New York trip, starting with a Thursday night matchup against Niagara at 6pm. Fairfield will be riding an 11-game winning streak into the game, which is tied for the eighth-longest in Division I. Fairfield currently sits in a first-place tie with Quinnipiac with their 9-0 league mark.
The Stags finished off a 3-0 week with a dominating performance against Siena, holding Siena to just 50 points on just 27 percent shooting, the lowest for a Fairfield opponent this season. The Stags also held Siena without a 3-pointer as the Saints went 0-for-11 from deep.
Kaety L'Amoreaux led the team with 26 points, the eighth time this season she has reached the 20-point mark. For her success, she was named the MAAC Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, tying the most by any MAAC student-athlete since 2020.
She was also recognized nationally as one of just 15 players selected to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List.
Jillian Huerter ha her fifth-straight double-digit scoring game and is shooting 50 percent from 3-point range during that span.
Cyanne Coe hauled in a game-high 11 rebounds, her second-straight game with double-digit boards. She is the first Stag to achieve that feat since
Emina Selimovic during the 2024 MAAC Championships.
Junior Road Runner
Meghan Andersen is averaging 25.0 points while shooting 72 percent from the field and 75 percent from 3-point range in her two career games at Niagara.
The Stags will conclude their Western New York trip on Saturday with a contest against Canisius at 1pm.
