FAIRFIELD, Conn_. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team has announced the addition of 6-1 Road Runner Selen Yusan to the 2025-26 roster. Yusan will bring plenty of international experience, playing for the Turkish National Team in the 2023 FIBA U16 Women's European Championships and for Basketbol Gençlear Ligi, the top professional league in Turkey. She was also selected to the Turkish U18 camp this year, which will run from July 5-13 in Spain.

"We are thrilled to add Selen to our Stag family," Head Coach Carly Thibault DuDonis said. "She will add great versatility, depth, and physicality to our Road Runner group! She has played at a very high level in Turkey and her reputation for her work ethic precedes her.  We can't wait for her to get here in the fall after she competes to make her National U18 squad this summer!"

Yusan averaged 7.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game in Basketbol Genclear Ligi, the top professional league in Turkey. The Road Runner was tough on the boards, reaching double-figure rebounds in 13 of her 25 games.

Yusan will be joining a Fairfield program with back-to-back MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. Fairfield has averaged 29.5 wins in those two seasons and have received votes in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 Poll in both campaigns.
