LAST TIME OUT
Fairfield turned in a record-breaking day last Saturday in the CAA opener at Hampton. The Stags scored a program-record 29 goals in the 29-4 triumph, also setting a new standard for margin of victory.

A total of 29 different Stags contributed to the scoring, including 14 who notched either the first goal or first assist of their respective Fairfield careers. The previous single-game scoring record was 25 goals in a 25-2 win over Manhattan in 1996 and matched against the Jaspers in a 25-6 victory in 1998.

Twenty-nine goals are also the most scored in a Division I game since Marist hung 29 on Quinnipiac on April 29, 2023. There have only been 12 30-goal games in NCAA Division I history, the last of which was recorded by Johns Hopkins in 1999.

The balanced attack was led by Charlie McFadden with his first two goals as a Stag to go along with three assists. Jack Savarese added his first three Fairfield goals, and Kevin Dolan joined him with a hat trick as the Stags' leading goal scorers on the day.

Other multi-scorers for Fairfield were Jeremiah Wade (first career), Andrew Kasten and Luke Okupski. The Stags got one score apiece from the crosses of Will Consoli, Colin Kenney, Devin Lampron, KJ Delane, Justin Brown, Rob Moore, Luke Fisher, Jake Gilbert, Shane Elliott, Christopher DeBellis, Matt Rice, Caleb McNaull, Reid Bulger, Austin McClintic and Hunter Moriarity.

Fairfield stayed on the attack with a 30-for-37 day at the faceoff X. Mark During and Jonathan Lewis each picked up 11 wins at the spot, and Daniel Davis was 8-for-10 on the restart.

SERIES HISTORY
Fairfield's win last season in Philadelphia moved the all-time series to 9-3 in favor of the Dragons. Drexel defeated the Stags in their first three seasons as a varsity program from 1993-95. The series resumed when the Stags joined the CAA in 2015. Fairfield won the first two conference meetings and, with the most recent win, snapped the Dragons' six-game winning streak over the Stags.

HOT START, HOT FACTS
Fairfield's 8-0 record is the best start in program history, surpassing the 2012 squad that won its first seven games en route to a 12-4 final mark.

The Stags have also attained the longest overall winning streak in program annals, topping the streak of seven games set in 2005 and matched in both 2012 and 2014.

Fairfield enters the weekend as one of three unbeaten teams in the nation alongside #1 Maryland (7-0) and #2 Army West Point (7-0). The Stags share the national lead in victories with #9 Ohio State (8-1) and #7 Duke (8-1).

CHART CLIMBERS
Checking in at #15, the Stags have been ranked in the USILA Poll for the last three weeks. Fairfield's #15 position is its best in the coaches' poll since ranking #14 in the penultimate poll of the 2014 campaign. The Stags' best ever national ranking is #11, also achieved in 2014.

The Stags also moved up one spot to #15 in this week's Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and rose three places to #15 in the USA Lacrosse Top 20.

JULIAN FOR TEWAARATON
After a standout start to the season, Julian Radossich has been added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.

Radossich leads the CAA with 22 caused turnovers, ranking third in the nation at 2.75 caused turnovers per game. He has also scooped up 19 ground balls with one goal and one assist. Radossich had a program-record seven caused turnovers in the season-opening victory over Lehigh – one short of matching the NCAA Division I record.

As a unit, Fairfield leads the CAA and ranks third in the nation with 7.29 goals per game allowed. The Stags have limited six of seven opponents to date to eight goals are fewer.

I LOVE LAMPRON
Devin Lampron had a seven-point week in the wins over St. John's and UMass Lowell to earn CAA Rookie of the Week accolades for the third time in the last four weeks. He scored twice in the win over the Red Storm and then notched a hat trick with two assists – while playing only in the first half – against the River Hawks.

Lampron is second in the CAA in with 18 goals. He is one of 10 freshmen in the nation averaging at least 2.25 goals per contest. He has also distributed four assists for a total of 22 points.

OWEN GETS GOIN'
Owen Hirsch leads the CAA and slots third in the nation with a 6.71 goals against average. His .596 save percentage is second in the conference as well as 11th nationally. The senior has recorded 8.13 saves per contest to date.

UP NEXT
Fairfield is back on the road next Saturday, March 29 for a trip across Long Island Sound to Stony Brook. Opening faceoff at LaValle Stadium is slated for noon.
